DESCRIPTION:Two halves tonight.&#13\;\n&#13\;\nFIRST: show us what you did
 . Last month we went through nine ways to work with coding&#13\;\nagents.
 Some of you went home and tried them. Bring what happened — the memory f
 ile that&#13\;\nchanged your week\, the prompt that finally worked\, the a
 gent that confidently destroyed&#13\;\nsomething. Wins and disasters are e
 qually welcome\; the disasters usually teach more. Five&#13\;\nminutes eac
 h\, laptop optional\, no slides required.&#13\;\n&#13\;\nTHEN: everything
 that isn't text. We've spent two meetings on language models. Meanwhile&#1
 3\;\nimage\, video\, music\, and voice generation have quietly become genu
 inely good — and a&#13\;\nsurprising amount of it now runs on the laptop
  in front of you\, with nothing leaving the&#13\;\nmachine.&#13\;\n&#13\;\
 nWe'll walk the current landscape honestly: what's actually worth using in
  October 2026\,&#13\;\nwhat got discontinued this year\, and where each on
 e still falls apart. Then we'll split the&#13\;\nfield the way that matter
 s for a working developer — what you call an API for\, versus what&#13\;
 \nyou can run yourself.&#13\;\n&#13\;\nAnd we'll generate something live.
 On a laptop. Offline.&#13\;\n&#13\;\nYou'll leave knowing which model to r
 each for per modality\, what your own hardware can run\,&#13\;\nhow to set
  it up\, and the three questions that decide hosted-versus-local for any o
 f them.&#13\;\n&#13\;\nCome curious. Beginners and veterans welcome.&#13\;
 \n&#13\;\nSPEAKER&#13\;\nMatt Duffield is President &amp\; CTO of Summit S
 oftware with 30+ years building enterprise&#13\;\nsoftware. A published au
 thor of six technical books and U.S. Navy veteran\, he focuses on&#13\;\nA
 I-assisted development\, local LLMs\, and cloud-native architecture.&#13\;
 \n&#13\;\nEVENT DETAILS&#13\;\nFood\, drinks\, and conversation beginning
 at 7:00. Show &amp\; tell at 7:30. Main talk around 8:00.&#13\;\nParking i
 s free at the Gladstone Park SDA church.&#13\;\n\n\nTags: AI\, image-gener
