Privacy Policy
What we collect, why we collect it, and how to make it go away.
Last updated: October 10, 2026. RSVP w/ me is a small event aggregator that started in Portland, with events from anywhere, run by Rick Turoczy. This policy describes what the app actually does — not a generic boilerplate.
How you sign in
RSVP w/ me uses Google Sign-In only. There is no separate password to create or store. When you sign in with Google, we receive and store your Google account identifier, email address, display name, and avatar (profile picture) URL.
What we collect once you're signed in
- Which events you like
- Which events you RSVP to
- Which accounts you follow (and who follows you)
- Which events you click through to, one record per event per account (not per click — we don't log every click, just whether you've ever clicked)
- Which events you add to your calendar, and which calendar provider (Google, Apple, etc.) you used
- Who you block or mute
- Optional profile fields you fill in yourself — handle, bio, city, profile visibility (public / anonymous), and whether your account requires follower approval
- If you turn on personal feed subscriptions, an app-generated token tied to your account that lets your RSS/ICS reader pull your feed without signing in
We do not collect location or GPS data. Check-in features that would use location are disabled in this version of the app, and the app sends a Permissions-Policy: geolocation=() header that blocks the browser from even asking for your location.
Where data lives
Data is stored in a SQLite database on Fly.io infrastructure and continuously replicated to Backblaze B2 for backup. We don't sell data, and we don't share it with advertisers.
Public by design
RSVP w/ me is built around visible accountability — your likes, RSVPs, and follows are legible to other users by default, similar to how a public social profile works. From your profile page you can set profile visibility to public or anonymous, make your account private (only followers you approve see your activity), and control whether your city shows on your public profile.
Deleting your data
You can delete your own account from your profile edit page — go to your profile, choose Edit, and use the "Delete account" control at the bottom. It requires a typed confirmation before it does anything, and it takes effect immediately: your login, likes, RSVPs, check-ins, follows, blocks, mutes, vouches, calendar-add history, connected platform handles, click-through history, and feed subscriptions are permanently erased. Events or feedback you submitted stay up for the community — other people may have RSVP'd to them — but your name is removed from them. This cannot be undone, and we can't recover it for you afterward. If you'd rather we do it for you, email rick@piepdx.com.
